Gordon Philips is a veteran Forex trader, market analyst and researcher, free market historian, portfolio repair consultant, developer of automated investing software, author, lecturer and seminar presenter.
Formerly a professional society bandleader in the Boston area, Gordon's financial career began when serendipitous encounters with hard money advocates in early 1979 enabled him to ride the precious metals market to a profitable blow off top one year later.
The conditions surrounding that inflationary episode opened Gordon's eyes to the hidden history of fiat, paper money and the international intrigue behind its creation and control, resulting in a multi-decade study of the hidden history of government, politics and economics and a large personal library of rare and little-known works that explain precisely why we are where we are today.
After trading stocks and options for twenty-five years, Gordon began trading the foreign exchange market in 2000.
After creating several Forex trading courses utilizing revolutionary approaches to currency trading and teaching hundreds of students the world over to trade the Forex successfully, he turned his attention to developing automated investing software to take highly profitable advantage of embedded price behaviors of the currency market.
In 2003 he urging private newsletter subscribers to buy silver, at that time selling for $6 an ounce, going so far as to encourage his readers to "sell everything you don't need in your attic, garage and basement on Ebay and buy silver now."
Silver soon rose rapidly to eventually touch $50 an ounce again for the first time in a quarter century.
In the summer of 2007 Gordon warned his private wealth consulting clients to take stock profits off the table and exit the market.
He regrets that he was three months early, but pleased that he saved his clients a fortune when the market crashed that October.
He recommended to his more aggressive clients that they short the crash with inverse ETFs, then signaled exiting those positions and going long again in May 2009 shortly after technical analysis had identified a likely crash bottom and impending rebound.
As a result of his expertise in trading, investing; his prolific knowledge and astute understanding of financial systems; and a passion for economics and real history, Gordon remains sought-after as a speaker, presenter and private wealth consultant.
A former home schooling dad of three terrific children, he resides in southern New Hampshire, last of the thirteen original colonies to ratify the federal constitution for fear of suffering the very abuses of personal freedoms that are becoming institutionalized today.
